Water on rear floorboards

There are no visible leaks in the convertible top (or anywhere else for that matter), but there is persistent pooling of water on the rear floorboards. Also, there is a sloshing noise emanating from the left rear fender area. Could this be the source of water accumulation -- or is it just noise from the gas tank?

have someone sit in the car while you spray it with water spray nozzle and watch for leaks, there is one there, this is how we do it at the dealer, no other way I am aware of.

The water runs off the top into the rear quarter fender to a drain hole, one on each side, check the hole in bottom probably plugged clean it out, the hole should be in the bottom of the rear quarter fender in front of the rear tire

How to fix water pooling on my floorboard?

To check your doors for leaking close the door on a piece of paper. It should stay in place, no slipping and should be fairly firm to remove with the door closed. To tighten them up, open the door and hold it open while pressing in on the top. It wont take a lot. Try again with the paper. If the doors are good then you need to look at the windshield and rear window as the culprits. they will need to be looked at by a glass installer and repaired there.

04 Mustang V6: The convertable top is leaking somewhere which causes water to pool behind drivers seat. Where should I start?

The best way to find this leak is to use a waterhose, make sure inside is dry them start a slow water spary at the front window and only front glass it is better to have someone inside with a light looking to see a stream coming in, after a while and no leak found start moving up to the top and work your way to rear glass but do this slowly to pinpoint the leak the preson inside must look around also.

I get standing water on rear floorboards whenever I am driving in the rain

there is a leake in one of your rear tailights, check in your trunk as well below the spare tire and you will most likely find another pool of water, clean up both your floor board and the trunk area and then all i have done was sealed the tailight on the passanger side and it fixed my problem.

My 2005 taurus has started getting a pool of water on the passenger side floorboard after a heavy rain, any ideas on how to fix, didn't see any leaks from windshield.

Look for moisture on the glass of the windshield, as well as the passenger side door, if thebottom seal isnt making contact on the door glass water will run in threw the door

Water coming in and pooling in the drivers side floorboard

Does it have a sunroof? if it does, check drain hose; poor a cup of water into the area around the drain holes & check for drainage under the car onto the ground. Has it recently had a glass replacement? Get another person to spray the outside of the car methodically from bottom to top slowly while you check for leaks inside the car. Or, turn air on w/all glasses closed, spray soapy water onto suspect areas, leaks will create more bubbles.

Water on rear floorboards

Under the car are drainvalves in the rockers.
these are small slits with a rubber valve in it, located just before the rear wheel and after the front wheel.
These are stuck, You can open them up by just putting You finger or a screwdriver in there.
I had the same problem, causes water and bad smell in Your car.
This is common by these types of convertibles, and caused by dirt washed in there from rain etc.
No big deal to solve.

Water collects and pools on passenger floorboard;

have the dealer water spray test the body seams, that is the only way to find these leaks..
