You can find this data in any Chilton or Haynes repair manual that covers your car, the data is specfic to engine size some require a procedure, such as torque to "x" ft lbs then turn 1/4 turn, if you do have a copy of either repair manual you may find one at your local library.

4.3 v6 head gasket torque schematic

first round is at 22lbs, second 44lbs, third 66lbs. make sure you get the order in which the bolts need to be tightened as not to warp the cylinder head, and that sequence is in the package your new head gasket (s) came in. If you cant find it, your local garage will photocopy it for you.

Specs on torquing head bolts on 1988 pontiac lemans aka daewoo lemans aka passport optima. also do i need gasket sealer anywhere or gaskets only when doing a head job on this car?

firstly tighten in sequence to 20Nm all round, then tighten to 30Nm all round, then tighten 90 degrees all round, and finally tighten a further 90 degrees all round. if you taken head off you should replace gasket or just use gasket sealer if you cant replace, just replace the head bolts, dont reuse or they may break

I'm trying to find out what the torque is on the cylinder heads for a 3.4 pontiac grand am 99

1st u must use all new head bolts, that said follow this factory procedure from the manual.
HEAD BOLT TORQUE FOOT POUNDS (FINAL TORQUE) TORQUE SEQUENCE --------- | 6 2 3 7 | | 5 1 4 8 | --------- STEP 1: TORQUE IN SEQUENCE TO 33 FT/LBS STEP 2: TURN AN ADDITIONAL 90 DEGREES RECHECK FINAL TORQUE IN SEQUENCE *** CAUTION *** ENGINE USES TORQUE TO YIELD HEAD BOLTS (TTY) THAT PERMANENTLY STRETCH DURING THE INITIAL INSTALLATION. NEW HEAD BOLTS MUST BE USED WHEN CYLINDER HEAD IS REPLACED OR RE-INSTALLED TO OBTAIN PROPER TORQUE. ALWAYS COAT BOLT THREADS WITH THE PROPER SEALANT
