2000 volvo S70 turn signal

My Volvo's turn signal is intermittent. Sometimes when I start the car, and turn on the signal, it'll blink for about 50 times and then freeze. It will not turn back on even though I use the lever again until I turn off the car's engine. The next time it won't even come on, the next time it might. this works for the left, right and hazard lights.

Get a schematic for the car and clean and work every connection in the wiring to your switch. Also chemically clean the innards of your switch(s)

SOURCE: engine starting problem

Hey Lindypop,

If you have another ignition key, I would suggest trying that key and see if the problem persists. The key has a micro-chip in them that allows the key to work in your vehicle only, and you may be having a problem with one of your keys.

If this is the case, a fault will be stored in the engine computer. It will be a good idea to check those codes and address them as necessary, it may help to avoid getting stranded.

Good Luck!

SOURCE: 1998 Volvo S70 left turn signal does not work

That return spring mechanism, is in the 'airbag clockspring' or we call it a contact reel. this is a VERY expensive part. You can take your switch off of the steering column, there is a white button sticking out, you should be able to manipulate that up and down (for left and right movement) if you can verify that the switch cancels while you manually do it, its the clockspring, if you can not do it in one direction only, then its the switch

SOURCE: Turn signal doesn't come on until I hit my hazard light on & off

it could be duel filament bulb that is blown and shorting inside the bulb to the other circuit, you may need to remove all indicator and hazard bulbs and check. I would also try a new flasher can

SOURCE: left turn signal stops working intermittently.

I recommend that you change the relay of the signal light or check the wire of the left signal light.Iin some cases you can find water inside of the signal light case, .

1999 Volvo S70 antenna ring

I have a 2000 S70 Volvo. There are many times it will not start. The engine turns over but sometimes it will not start. I remove the key reinsert it and it will start. This does not always work the first, second or third time but it does eventually start. I have never not had it start. There are times that when trying to start it it revs up high and dies (for about a second). Any ideas?

2000 volvo s70 difficult to start, more so as fuel level drops. Cranks fine. Recently changed MAF sensor, B+ cable, plugs, fuel filter - no improvement.

Sounds like the fuel pump, as the levels of the fuel tank drop, there's less natural pressure on the fuel, which would definitely make it harder to start with a weak fuel stream from a bad pump.

1998 Volvo S70 stalls intermittently

Have tried getting quality gasoline at a reliable station? It sounds like water in your fuel system. Add a couple bottles of Iso-Heet fuel system dryer everytime you fill up the next few times, and that should cure it.
