My neighbor just gave me a car, honda accord 1992 ex, and it has a sill problem during the winter time, apperantly when you turn of the car in cold weather the car's fan continiues to run and in conclusion drain battery, my neighbor send i need to replace the sending unit but every time i look it up it talks about the fuel sending unit, which i highly doubt is the cause , is there another sending unit, what is the problem??
Usually on most vehicles the coolant temperature sensor sends info to the ecm which then determines when to turn your fan on and off, when you turn the car off the fan may continue to run until the engine reaches a cooler temperature, if the front radiator grill is'nt getting proper air flow to cool the coolant down check the radiator grill for damage or debris build up, if the car has problems over heating check the entire cooling system.
