92 mercury tracer runs when cold, once warm dies

When first started it runs fine, can rev engine and its responsive. Seems that once it warms up it doesn't want to run. You can keep it running if you play with the throttle. It will not idle. I believe it is a sensor but not positive where to start. Hooked it up to a scan tool and it gave me a Mass Air Flow low voltage, and a PIP circuit failure code. Tried a new MAF sensor with no luck. It has 40 psi fuel pressure when primed, about 33 when running. The catalytic converter is not plugged nor is the muffler. It has new plugs and wires put on by the previous owner. It is a 1.9L 4 cylinder Ford engine.

I am haveing trouble with my 1996 Mazda B2300, When I start my truck after its been sitting for any length of timeI have to rev the engine to get it started, I have to continue reving until engine is warm...

Replace the temperature sending unit/sensor. This sensor tells the computer to put the engine into cold start mode and it then sets idle a bit higher and puts a bit more fuel into the engine to keep it running without having to touch the throttle. Once it's warm, sensor tells computer to go to normal run mode and it's done. No problem.

Problems accelerating

the engine tickover is too slow when the engine is cold its running on cold start, ie:choke,, after it warms up the engine slows down this is what is causing it to stall in gear,, get some one to hold the brakes hard on and with the engine running in gear ajust the tick over till its reving at 750 - 850 rpm the revs will go up a bit when its out of gear,, before you pick a gear to go into push the foot brake down to stop the car lurching,,,

Clean the MAF sensor with electrical cleaner then blow dry with light shop air or just let air dry.then disconnect battery for about 30 minutes to reset keep alive memory.Should take care of your problem.
