2002 mitsubishi galant are fans supposed to run when starting car?

The fans should run whenever the AC is on. But if it's off, the fan should only run when the computer thinks the temp is too high

Where is the fan switch on a 1999 Honda CR-V EX

Facing the engine bay, there is a multiple wire connector down near chassie, some time corrosion get in the terminals. with a test light and a safety pin stick it in both sides of all wires ,one wire color at a time ( or find what color wire the FAN uses) ie Car side of white/blue wire and see if the ENGINE side of same wire reads the same volts. If CAR side of the connector reads 12.5 volts and ENGINE side reads Zero you got it. with a short piece of wire JUMP over that connector with pins on each side, the ENGINE side when U touch pin and see if FAN now works. permanently connect wire. works for me

Why is my 2001 cadillac running hot?

With the thermostat out you should see a lot of circulation. If not investigate water pump. Is the fan electric fan working? Bypass the relay and run the fan whenever the engine is running. If it doesn't overheat with the fan running then investigate fan control. make sure the coolant is topped off and use a thermometer in the radiator to verify temperature.

Why do both radiator fans run on high any time the engine is running,...hot or cold

There are certain positions for the climate control system that will cause the A/C system to activate. When the A/C is on, the radiator fans automatically run to provide airflow thru the condenser coils in front of the radiator. This could be the issue. Turn off the climate controls and recheck.

Radiator fan not running while car is on

There could be a number of reasons why the fan is not coming on. First of all, it will not come on until the temp reaches a level necessary to have it on. In addition, if the a/c is on, it should be running at all times while the a/c is on. If your car has a/c, turn it on and check to see if radiator fan is running. If not check the following, coolant temp sensor, radiator fan relay fuse, radiator fan motor, coolant fan switch and temp sensor. Start with the easiest, the fuse and work from there. Most switches and sensors can be tested with a simple ohmeter.

2001 Jeep Laredo has 2 fans at the radiator - are both fans supposed to run all the time?

Hi,
The answer to that is NO!
There are two fan motors on that area. One is for the radiator cooling system and the second is for the condenser( Airconditioning system ).
The radiator fan starts/run when the engine temperature reaches a certain temperature( electric thermo switch on the radiator ), while the A/C fan starts whenever you switch on the a/c.
Hope that clears up everything.
Thanks for asking FixYa!

The radiator cooling fans run continuously in my 1998 Toyota Corolla. Would this be the result of a failed thermostat, fan relay or something else?

Fan switch should be located in the upper radiator tank. Two wires to it. it works off the temp of the water.

2000 sebring. Overheats with air conditioning on.

I just had my coolant flushed and my radiator cooling fan replaced. The car was slightly overheating and would "gargle" in the coolant bowl after I turned the engine off. It turned out to be the radiator was clogged up on one side.

I went full tilt and replaced the radiator, water pump, thermostat, radiator cap and timing belt. I have 85,000 miles on the car and it was about time to do these things anyway. It is running like a new car now.
