For a few months my rear (Air) would go in and out of working, but for about the last 3 months it has nly worked once, and that was about 2 weeks ago (for about 2 days) then it went back to sagging again. Everything works accordingly. I've had it checked and was told it was probably a sensor, so i'd just like to know if anyone out there might know where ALL the sensors are. I'd greatly appreciate it.
-   Have a 99 navigator also. replaced compressor still dosent work. Fuses are all good.-   Guest

-   I had the same problem with my 2000 Expedition. I took it in and they replaced the compressor, but it still happened. I took it in again and they removed the air bags and discovered one of them had a leak and that is why I was sagging. It wouldn't hold air and the compressor couldn't keep it inflated. I had both of them replaced $600.00 and it has been perfect ever since (little over a year).-   Guest

-   I had the same issue with my 99 Expedition. Replaced the compressor (dealer) and it lasted a year and 9 days. Second one lasted a year and 3 months. Dealer in Boone NC replaced it again and it lasted 48 hours. Replaced air suspension with conventional springs/shocks for 600.00. If you are having this problem chang it out so you won't have to deal with the continued BS from the dealers. -   Guest
I realize this is a very late post, but it may help others searching for the same problem. I found the relay on the RH side between the bumper and healdlight. I unplugged the connection, cleaned it real well and plugged it back in and everything works great. Definately want to try this prior to buying a compressor or relay. Very common problem do to it's position under the vehicle in the elements.
There is a Relay behind the front bumper under the right headlight. There is a Control Module above the Radio, top dash need to be remove to see, not too hard to remove top dash. Compressor is under the windshield washer bottle, sound more like the Compressor is the problem.

nov2771 advised with the 2 torque bolts at (t-25 or t-30) was right on the money. The bolts were loose...However, upon further investing I noticed that on the top of the column there is a notch that goes into a slot right before the two (2) torque bolts...this gear is what i believe prevents the car from going into the parking and prevents the key from being removed at the ignition. The shift lever moves freely...but does not move the cable and gears at the transmission....
