Thanks Johnyboyy & Sam35edm! I checked my fuse (10amp) and it looked ok. I replaced it and the lights for the odometer and gear shift indicator both lighted up. I then inspected the old fuse and it looked a little tarnished on the contacts. I then cleaned the contacts on both sides of the original fuse with a razor blade to remove the tarnish. The light lit brighter than ever! Looks like the fuse wasn't making good contact in its socket because of the tarnish.
Change the fuse 7.5 in the fuse cabin. Then press the odometer pin where you can see the actual km and km after resettin . It will work .
Ok i went to canadian tire, and the guy there said it can be one of three things: 1. Check all fuse which are related to the cluster, so make sure all the fuses have a good conection with the box. 2. check if the cable which connects the cluster to the rest of the car, is properly grounded, because even if one cable is off the gear shifter/odomitor wont work. 3.Make sure that the fuse box is working.

I have a similar problem on my 2001 Buick Century. The gear shift light, odmeter, and dim and brighten feature on the instrument cluster do not work.
Its in the cluster. find a cluster that works or take it in for repair.
I have same Problem
No odometer light or gear shift light on my 1999 Buick Century. Is there just a bulb that might need replacing or do I have to take the whole dashboard out? The rest of the lights on the dashboard work fine. If so, how do you do this?
