I have a 2004 nissan maxima & the horn sticks sometimes when I try and use it. When it's going off the only way to turn it off is to open & close the driver door. I've also had to disable it from chirping when I lock the doors because sometimes it sticks when you lock the doors with the remote. This horn sticks without even touching the steering wheel.

Hi Bgood,
I had the same problem. I locked and unlocked the car with the engine run several time utilizing the dashboard lock button. That fix my problem.

Try replacing the battery in the key. It may be too weak to engage lock.

Have the dealer check the KESSY system. This test will show up faults. Diagnosis will be required to go further. You might end up recoding the KESSY CU or maybe even replacing it. First step though is the scan at the Porsche dealer / specialist.

You may need to store the end position of the windows in the control unit. I would try the following, with the door closed, and the window partway open: Close the windows with the rocker switch ONCE. Then press the front half of the rocker switch again, this will store the end position in the control unit. Good luck!

It sounds like it could be the plastic connecting bit that links the lock tumbler lever to the rod that operates the door lock mechanism, has broken or become disconnected. To check, you will need to remove the trim on the inside of the door, after removing any screws and the inside door lever and window winder.
Once you have the inside trim off and the plastic sheet, you will see an access hole for the door mechanism and the lock tumbler. It should be attached to the actuating rod by the aforementioned plastic bit. If plastic bit appears OK try re-attaching it or replacing it if broken. If the lever part of the lock tumbler which attaches to the rod is broken the lock will need replacing.
