Re: possible injector problems with 1986 toyota corolla
Each injector has 2 wires, one should have positive when ignition on. the other wire goes to the ecu looking for a negative pulse. check the crank and cam angle sensors or distributor or wiring

I have no gas coming from my injector it a 1986 chevy s10 2.5l I have replaced the fuel pump, oil pressure switch & I checked and oil would ...
current as in now?
or current as in Amperers?
why not stated the problem clearly
like, my injector draws too much current. why?
or it stuck on.
or its coil is way less resistance than the other 4
or same but more resistance, .......ditto
or current is zero
or current is 2 times the others
or my PCM has 1 injector active full time.
injectors can fail or 6 ways.
or be good and it fails because its inputs are wrong;.
A fuel pressure problem, possibly. Have the fuel pressure tested, and if low, could be a weak pump or a fuel filter starting to plug up. Any number of other things it could be. Always check for trouble codes when a problem develops in the engine management. Has it just started doing it? Have you put gas into it from a can or jug that may have had water in it? Does it do it all the time engine is running, or at certain speeds of the engine? If fuel pressure is good, try some injector cleaner, in case some debris got picked up in the tank. Injectors seldom get clogged, I think cause they are always awash in new gas just delivered from the tank. The return line allows the gas to constantly circulate past the injectors. Well, if it isn't gas, it's gotta be something else. I gotta go. Good night.
if your getting spark the problem isn't distrib try squrting a little fuel in air inlet if it starts it's most likely an injector problem check the injector impulse.
check crank sensor or cam sensor
good luck
If I understand your concern, you have backfiring when decelerating, if yes, a possibility is that your air/fuel ratio is too lean, there is too much air and/or too little fuel. This could also be brought about by using free breathing air filter (such as K & N) instead of the original air box/filter and no re-jetting/re-calibration done. Either that or the exhaust system has been modified or replaced with free flow, headers or sport tuned. If yes, then either the carbs have not been re-jet or the injector has not been re-calibrated. It may also require re-mapping of the ECU.
Depressing the clutch when decelerating disengages the load and therefore no engine breaking is happening.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
