I believe this engine is with interference, therefore valve damage is possible. To check if it is with interference, remove all of the spark plugs, carefully and gently, by hand, rotate over the crank, if it contacts a valve (do this carefully) well.... then you have your answer. I'd then replace the belt with proper timing and do a compression check. If a valve went bad, you know quickly.

I hope this may have helped and I we'll keep our fingers crossed for you,
Tom

SOURCE: i want to change the timing belt on my suzuki so i

best bet go to mitchell or chilton on demand, otherwise buy a manual, any free diagrams will not be complete and you don't want to have to do it twice

How do I set the timing on a chana maxi star1.5l 2008, just chnged the timing belt coz it snaped and how will I know if the valves are bend

Assuming you have the cam and crank gears correctly timed with the new belt, it is easy to ascertain if the valves are bent. Simply perform a compression check of all cylinders. If the valves are bent you will have low and uneven compression on the cylinders, and chances are the vehicle will crank but not start. If the engine is an interference engine (I am in the USA and don't have access to your vehicle specs), and the belt broke while running, it is an almost certainty that the valves (and maybe even the pistons) are damaged.

Cambelt sliped or broken. does the valves bend.

what is the liter size of your engine? the 1.8L is an interference engine. generally all Audi engines are interference engines, and timing belt breakage can bend valves, the sure way to determine without detailed maintenance information, install a new belt, once the belt is on immediately run a compression test, if timing marks are good and compression fails, valves are bent.
