You can try to close it manually using that key, then taking the fuse out, checking to make sure it is okay, then putting it back in. It may solve the problem.

SOURCE: top won't go down, sometines it won't go up

This symptom almost always points to a mechanical issue, not an electrical one. The SLK hardtop is notorious for needing to be lubricated every couple of years. Here is a link with directions and photos:

http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r170-slk-class/1426014-lubing-vario-roof-pics-1-krytox.html

Sticking joints are the most common culprit to intermittent raising and lowering problems. Once those have been lubricated and that has been checked off the list, then look into electrical issues. Remember, you don't rebuild an engine that has only ran out of gas. The switch that is triggered by pulling back the partition separator is likely not the issue. If this switch is faulty, it will not even let the pump run to open the trunk. In order for that switch to be the problem, the switch would need to be shorting out AFTER the trunk lid opens. But that still also means the pump would be stopped and no longer be heard.

Opel Astra Bertone. Message 'too slow' appears when trying to open roof. Why????

Lots of problems with those roofs. Take it back to the place that fixed it and tell them to fix it properly. Probably air in the hydraulics.

My sunroof is not able to be closed. It is in the pop up position. Is there a manual way to close it? eg no use of electricity?

there is no manual method. It sounds like a limit switch is not working. Can you hear the motor try to operate? If you push up on the back of the glass a little bit while hitting the switch, what happens.

When the roof sliding panel switch is activated, a gear on the sliding roof panel motor drives a spline on the roof sliding panel housing. Within the roof sliding panel housing, the spline is connected to two sliding roof panel cables which cause the roof sliding panel slide links to slide and the roof glass panel to open or to close. The sliding roof panel cables and the spline are part of the roof sliding panel housing. Neither the sliding roof panel motor nor the roof sliding panel housing can be disassembled. If a malfunction is detected with either of these assemblies, the assembly must be replaced.
