I replaced my multi swotch, and now the air bag ligh remains lit.

2003 buick century, i replced the multi switch, but now the air bag light remains lit. also the cornering lights now don't work, but bulbs are new. are these two things related? and what can i do to fix it? Did i possibly not get a ground wire in the steering column gounded well enough? there are three wires under the air bag, I got two of them definitely right, not sure of the third, with a round metal at the end of the wire. the other horn wire has the spring attached. where does the other wire go?
