Moonroof Problems My Chrysler 300C's moonroof lets in a lot of wind noise. It also lets water in when I go through the dryer blowers at the car wash. Looking at it from the outside I have noticed that it doesnt look flat when closed. It dips below it's frame on the drivers side and in the back. So i guess you could say it's on a compound angle. Is there away to adjust it?

  3. Verify the sunroof glass panel is in the fully closed position.
  4. Loosen the forward attaching screws (2) on each side enough to permit the front of the glass to adjust up or down.
  5. Adjust the front surface of the sunroof glass panel 0.00 mm to 2 mm (0.00 in. to 0.08 in.) below the top surface of the roof.
  6. Tighten the front glass panel attaching screws to 5.5 N·m (49 in. lbs.).
  7. Loosen the rear screws (2) on each side enough to make the rear adjustment.
  8. Adjust the rear surface of the sunroof glass panel 0.00 mm to 2 mm (0.00 in. to 0.08 in.) above the top surface of the roof.
  9. Tighten the rear glass panel attaching screws to 5.5 N·m (49 in. lbs.).
  10. Check for proper fit. If not OK, repeat glass panel adjustment.

  11. Position the mechanism covers (2) over the glass tabs (1) between the locating features and seat fully.
  12. Verify sunroof operation and alignment.
There is a reprogramming from chrysler for the sunroof for recalibrating the sunroof for flushness also. the dealer will charge for this .You might want to do this first and then the adjust if not satisfied with the results.

Moonroof shade got off track and rolled up fast what do i do?

Go to a glass or windshield repair shop. You really do not want problems with the moonroof leaking or staining the headliner. Since something is crumpled you will likely need another shade.

Sometimes there are different suppliers of parts for production and the tracks can be different. They also have the right glue and tools to repair your moonroof.

2005 Lincoln Aviator Moon Roof is stuck

Check the connections to the motor for the moon roof. It's most likely that the motor has gone out, and will need to be replaced.

Moonroof will not vent or seal shut. Why?

It sounds like a mechanical adjustment. A lot of times moon roofs will have adjustment screws to make small alignment adjustments. You may have to move the glass to various positions to access them, but that is where I would start.

My 2004 tiburon moonroof is stuck doesn't open or close i can hear the motor going but the moonroof just doesn't move at all, first it was closing all the way down but was making a funny noise as...

In order to find out what's causing the problem, the headliner must be dropped (removed) to access the sunroof motor so it can be inspected and removed to inspect the slide cables up inside the sunroof/moonroof assy. Until that's done, there's not much more I can do to help except speculate.

What to know if sunroof only slides open or if it will pop up to open like preludes

On EX and EX-V6 models:
The moonroof has two positions: it can be tilted up in the back for ventilation, or it can be slid back into the roof. Use the switch under the left dashboard vent to operate the moonroof. The ignition switch must be ON (II).
To tilt up the back of the moonroof, press and hold the center button. To close the moonroof, press and hold the top of the switch To open (slide back) the moonroof, press and hold the bottom of the switch. Release the switch when the moonroof gets to the desired position. Make sure everyone's hands are away from the moonroof before opening or closing it.
The moonroof has a key-off delay. You can still open and close the moonroof for up to ten minutes after you turn off the ignition. The key-off delay cancels as soon as you open either door. You must then turn the ignition ON (II) for the moonroof to operate.
Hope this helps.
