Integration mp3 player to 2005 x3

Is 2005 X3 3.0 already prewired for a cd changer connection in the back of the car? Is there an easy way to add an mp3 player (iPod or Sony) without going through major installation?
Currently the car has the standard radio with CD player (Not premium)
Thanks.

Call a BMW dealer and talk to either your salesman or parts. ask them if they can run your VIN to see if it is prewired for a CD changer (assuming you don't see the wiring in the rear compartment). all they will need is the last 7 digits of the VIN.

BMW does sell an IPOD controller, but i think DICE makes a better one. check them out here:

Can you add a cd changer to a 2005 Jaguar Stype

Yes. You will need a proper Jaguar changer with the correct fibre optic leads (d2b) then It will need to be programmed to the vehicle wich can only be done by Jaguar. You may also need the correct carpet for the n/s of the boot

If you look in the trunk compartment on the right side pull back the carpet trace a wire down into the floor pan of the trunk with a ten pin connector that is the cd changer connector they are all prewired with them in the trunk.

Replace 2005 Nissan altima stereo receiver

Try radio shack, or stereo sales/installation place for ready to go plug adapter. For a few bucks, it saves headaches, and butchering the wiring in case you want to re-install old one later when trading in or selling the car.
