2006 Dodge ram-a/c-heater fan works fine, all speeds, low to high-but no matter what speed I turn it to only a little air comes out,heat,defroster,a/c vents etc.

Are you talking about looking under the dash to see if the vents are disconnected? Mine only blows half of what it used to and now on extended drives with the AC blowing it drips cold water on my right foot on the accelerator.

Does your blower have a vibration at higher speeds? Have the same problem in my truck. After digging into it I found that the Re-circulation door axle pivot is broken. This door shuts off the outside air intake for re-circulating air. It also closes off the interior air intake when re-circ isn't used. If the door is broken it will sit in a half open position allowing all the forced air to escape through the outside air intake. I hear this is a common thing to happen. The servo motor that cycles the door is a little too powerful and it snaps the axle pivot.

This was great info....I removed the blower motor and sure enough, a piece of the broken plastic hinge was in the blower cage wheel. A temporary fix to restore the full air circulation and keep me cool was to simply wedge the damper door to an open position......permanent repairs will follow if not too expensive...thanks so much ....from one Hemi-Mike to another .....you made my day!!!!!

Check to see if your vents are connected correctly, if one of your vents are off, clogged or disconnected it will cause this problem. I had the same problem once and come to find out one of the connections were only half way on, corrected the problem and blew like a champ after that.

My windows are not defrosting properly.

Do you have heat? Does the fan turn on? are you getting air from the defroster vents close to the windshield? If you have heat make sure the defrost control is working. I'd open the outside air vent and turn the blower on high speed. If there is no heat, the heater control valve is not working. Double check the radiator fluid tank, make sure you have enough fluid (antifreeze) Low fluid levels can reduce the hot water flow to the heater coil inside the car. If there
is no air flow through the defroster vents you may have a problem with the fan control, or the fan motor. Good luck.

Lincon LS 2006 5600 kl coolent fan runs in winter when the temp gage is normal the radeator is not hot.The fan is very noisy, the engin has ben bled of air. The car has ben looked at by Lincon dealer said...

the fan has a low and high speed or some have 2 fans. It comes on low speed when the temp starts to climb or when you turn the a/c, defrost, or mix mode (it turns on when the a/c compressor kicks on. If the temp of coolant gets to about 230 F, then the high speed kicks in.

What is your doing? Very nosiy sounds like high speed. Could be a defective ECT - engine coolant temp sensor.

Heater fan only works on "high speed"

All cars are designed with a blower fan motor that pushes air through the ventilation system. This air is processed by a series of vents to direct the air to various positions. Example: heater, air conditioner and defrost modes. Most blower motors are power by a basic electrical circuit that utilizes a multi resistor or a solid-state resistor to control different fan speed modes (low, medium low, medium and high). If the resistor malfunctions it may lose one or more of the lower fan speed settings.

Same Problem, warm air at low RPM's 2006 Saturn Vue

I agree with philip, i have not studied the electrical system. but to my best guess the electric fans are tied into the engine cooling system. when the engine is not requesting the fans to come on. then their is very little air passing threw the cooling package. When their is no cool air passing by the condenser this will not draw the heat out of the refrigerant leaving excess heat in the system and when the cab fan blows this is were the excess heat is getting dumped. then at higher speeds their is enough air passing threw the condenser and radiator to cool them both.
