Sorry forgot to say that once the new starter was in place car started just fine. Was not till the next day and several starts later that it started to do the some thing as it was before the starter was replaced

It is located on the firewall side of the motor right under the fule injection. You have to work on it from both the top and bottom of the car. From the bottom you will need to remove the plastic sheild from the passenger side under the car. from there you can remove thr electrical connections and the 1st of the two restraining bolts. Then from the top you will need to reomve the air filter housing (three bolts on the inside of housing). then below that there is a wire harnse that you need to take off. Now you can't remove it because it is attached to a hard line for something but once you take its bolt out you can move it to the side to again access to the upper bolt for the starter. Hope this helps

94 geo prizm turn key nothing jump it nothing but have lights and everything

Check all of the fuses first, then try getting under the car and tapping the starter with a hammer several times, then try to start it again. If it starts, you'll want to replace the starter/solenoid (built together). You can also take the starter to a parts store to have the starter tested.

1994 Geo Prizm LSI running one day won't crank next day

turns over and crank are the same thing,
so you are saying it does crank over but no start, right?
you need to determine if you have at least 50psi of fuel pressure in fuel rail at reed valve.

1993 Geo Prizm Lsi Harmonic Balancer

Yes a harmanic balancer from tha corolla is the same thing. I had to do the same thing with my 95 geo. It works out to be a lot cheaper buying for a toyota than a geo.

Cranks sometime

You have burnt/pitted contacts in the starter solenoid, very common on Nippondenso starters, which the Geo uses. If you can get just the contacts rebuild it, otherwise replace the solenoid and or the starter, if you have really high miles it is better to replace the whole starter with a rebuilt unit from any quality rebuilder, Delco is a real good one, The best price I found was at Rockauto.com, $72.00 for a Delco rebuilt unit. Contacts are availiable from Ohiomotor.com

95 geo prizm steering problem

I just had this very same problem a couple of weeks ago on a '95 Prism. I had the ignition switch replaced. That has solved the issue to this point.
