I have a 2002 Buick Rendezvous CX and the rear wiper, back up light & rear plate lights all not working. Seems to have lost power to entire rear other than rear tail/brake lights (these work). I don't have a wiring diagram to trace it it backwards.... Anyone know how to trouble shoot this? Fuses look fine for all these. Assume there is a bad connection or break in a wire somewhere? Please help. Thanks.
Look for rear wiper fuse and relay.because both circuits is tie together . look in glove compartment for the manual .it will show where all fuses and relays located.
Found that the green wire going to the rear window de-fogger over headed and melted the plug in the junction were all the rear wires plug in. This plug is located above the head liner in the right rear of the car (very hard to find). The plug was also very hard to get apart, it was melted together inside the plug. You could not tell the plug was damaged until it came apart.
YOU HAVE ELECTRICAL PROBLEM BEST TAKE VECHICLE TO A GARAGE FOR THE ELECTRICAL SPECIALIST TECHNICIAN BECAUSE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WILL CAUSE CAR FIRE.THE JUNCTION BLOCK WITH WIRES HAS TO BE REPLACED.SHORT IN THE CIRCUIT WHERE WIRE MELTED.

All of the items you mentioned above are powered and grounded through the pass through grommet located at the top of the rear door. There is a good probability that the harness is damaged inside the passthrough grommet.
When the rear hatch is opened and closed numerous times, the wire is flexed back and forth until the wire breaks. Take the grommet apart and inspect the black ground wire and see if it is broken. If not, the main connector is just under the headliner at the back near the grommeted passthrough.
Good luck.
