two piece tailshaft .have renewed centre bearing and 3 u-joints.shudder has increased.I am about to check driveline angles with a digital protractor according to the manual.the springs do not appear to be sagged as the chassis sits at the height given in the manual.could the new centre bearing be faulty?should I be looking for a bent shaft ?how critical are the driveline angles?the rear suspension has a single upper control arm. 1963 chev impala

That driveline is very forgiving when it comes to ride height, angles etc. I have only seen one with a similar symptom but in that case the rear upper arm bushing mount had torn off the body. Are you sure that you don't have a problem with differential gears or a bad drum support bushing in the transmission?
