SOURCE: audi tt 180, 2000 imobiliser problem

I have the same problem. Short term answer for me is to disconnect battery for 30 seconds and then the car will start. I have the infamous dashpod problem and the keys and eveything are coded into the dashpod so I'm hoping when I get mne replaced the immobilser problem will go to,at least the guys who work on my car reckon so.
With the regular need to disconnect he battery I leave the three screws for the battery cover finger tight and the battery contact loose enough to wriggle off. I can do it start to finish in a couple of minutes but is a mjor pain still.

Vauxhall calibra will not start ignition light

the flash indicates a code count the number of blinks usually a shot blink 1,2,3and so on followed by another series of blinks and it may even give 2 or more codes depending write them down and look the code up on line it could indicate that a door is open causing this issue **** as a sensor is not reading correctly a few other ideas to start with its just a matter of breaking it all down one section of area at a time to figure out the cause

Imobiliser problem

If im not mistaken, your car should have an alarm reset/override.Below the steering column,on the dash should be a slot where you put your remote transmitter to deactivate the alarm. If that works, you then need to have your remote checked and coded by a vw dealer.Good luck.

Engine will not turn over rac said it was transpoder bought new key with chip still the same is their any way of overriding the immobiliser to start key

you will probably have to go to renault for there diagnostics as most home bought code reader scanners cant fix renault problems
there is a program available free on the web that tells you how to key a code in that tempory unlocks the imobiliser but as soon as you turn of your ignition it will re imobilise your car
your best bet is to pay about £90 to renault to tell you what the problem is
