Outboard problems

You might have a final drive issue, if the motor revs fine in neutral but has no power in drive I would say your problem is below the engine.

its a 2T type engine and as such could be anything from old fuel to a dirty carb maybe even the reed valves or the exhaust outlet blocked ,you will just have to ask a local mechanic to have a look at it for you

Is horse power the same for gas engines and electic motors

Yes. Horsepower is simply a measure of power, usually considered to be equivalent to 746 watts. It doesn't matter if the power is coming from a gas engine, an electric motor, a hamster spinning a wheel, or a horse.

You use the spark plugs recommended in your owners manual

Any brand but same OEM electrode configuration

You can not add horse power to any vehicle without
modifications,common sense.

Change front O2 Sensors at 100,00 miles
Clean MAF Sensor

Forget the fuel filter if in the tank

What the service engine light mean and how much horse power a chevy suburban have

Well, the first question is easy. It is the onboarddiagnostic computer telling you that there is something that is failing or bad in your vehicle....go to Schucks/O'Rielly's/Checker/Parts Plus/NAPA....they will read or help you read the codes that are causing your light.

Horsepower...what size of motor do you have?

Always check for fuel and spark first. Find out what you don't have and we'll go from there. The more info the better.

Head gasket

The best solution? Remove the heads, have them planed to true them up and put new gasket set on. Depending on how many miles the engine has on it, it may be needful to have the heads reworked. New valves guides, the valves ground and seated. If it has a lot of miles it could be best to purchase a set of remanufactured heads. If the engine is low miles a gasket set and planing the head will probably do it. If you just have one head plane, make sure to get the proper gasket for that head. The planed head will cause that bank of cylinders to have higher compression then the other non-planed side. You will have to get a thicker gasket for that side to keep the same compression. Your machine shop can tell you how much they took off. Hope that helps.
