The computer uses solenoids inside the transmission to control shifting. It downshifts the trans when necessary based on road speed, engine speed, and throttle position.

Toyota echo will hesitate bad after stopping. Why ?

- Remove the negative battery terminal.
- Remove the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, hold press a contact cleaner spray at the distance of about 6 inches on to the two tiny filaments located deep in the MAF sensor barrel, hold it in inverted position and let it dry.
- Fit the sensor and reconnect the connector.
- Start the engine and perform idle speed relearn procedure. It should now perform well. If not, then check the fuel pump pressure.

No Kick down on a Dodge Ram 1500 - 2002 4.7 L

Looks like it is in "limp-in" mode. Have the trouble codes cleared and it should run fine again. I have also seen the sensors of the transmission get wet and cause issues. unhook any sensors that were in the path of the coolant. Blow them out with compressed air and re-connect them. Moisture is bad.

My air conditioner compressor is not kicking on. I charged it, but I heard a hissing sound. Sounds like I have a leak.

you need to determine the location of the leak and then charge. There is a low coolant sensor that will tell the clutch no to kick in so it does not burn it up.

2002 Escort wont start after crash. No logical reason. Is there resets or sensors?

There is a fuel shut-off switch that stops the flow of fuel in an accident to prevent the occupants from becoming crispy critters. I believe it is in the trunk on Fords. Just push the button in to allow fuel to get to the engine. I'll check to see if I can find the exact location. Back in a few minutes.

Engine Overheat

if the guage goes down when you drive then it is most likely the temp sensor that detects heat and kicks on the fan.
