In some cases it could work off and on, such as if the bearings were about to fail.

My new turbo stopped working after a month

Chances are something else is at work, like a boost leak or control system failure. Perhaps the clip on the boost control actuator arm fell off and the arm disconnected from the wastegate.

My T&C has stopped working altogether. there is no power, not even to emergency lights. The battery has a charge so what is wrong with my van?

Well the comp works with low speed and turbo with high exhaust levels, so if the compressor is dead , the turbo won't work or just on the power of your engine , :) which is low. Your dashboard will show a nice default and it could be just an air tube which is shred, but if you've serviced enough, that would have seen seen that. Don't go starting it, since the two turbo's run on motoroil and if they run dry, ..
My first question: have you done the services, recommended at the dealer, since you then can blame them for a part of the kost. To be honoust is a 13 year old car , ready to be replaced. The compressor ant exhaust turbo can be anything and it's very expensive to repair, but you have must heared the sound of ear when it broke down, and you see no oil on the ground?

I Have a Leyland daf LF 45 When the engine warms up the turbo stops cuting in, I've had a fitter look at it and he said the turbos work and ideas any one thanks

turbos work from exhaust gas temperature and exhaust gas flow. There is nothing else that works them so can you be more specific as to what you mean by "stops cutting in"

I have problems with the turbo of my Passat 2002 TDI Sometimes it stops working other times it works perfectly. What factors affect the turbo performance. Is the oil type, or coolant a factor?

The wastegate controls the operation of the turbo, it directs exhaust pressure to the turbo, If it does not function properly the turbo will act erratically

1998 Nissan Quest - rear blower not working

SInce you indicated that it was working intermittently then quit working altogether the most likely culprit is probably a bad blower relay . The Contacts in a relay will sometimes burn and intermittently still conduct for while until they get so burnt that they won't conduct at all and the relay will have to be replaced. If you could get a Chilton Service Manual for the Vehicle in question it would probably show the exact location of the relay.
