How do i fix the air blower/demister on my chevrolet aveo 2010?

check the blower motor for power and ground at the motor. if this is good hit the blower, if it starts or tries to start replace the blower motor. if you have no power at the motor check the resistor for power going in and a good ground. if you have these going in and not coming out then the resistor is bad. this is a common problem with just about all cars.

1997 chevy suburban front blower issue.... doesn't work unless a gust of wind or I hit a bump. wondering what part I need for it to work.

it may be either a bad connection at the resistor block or the blower motor. check this out. if going over a bump starts the motor it may be a bad blower motor that needs replacing.

Blower motor

Yes it could be the blower motor, or a weak connection in the wiring harness. The blower motor would be checked for power and ground when it fails to run to find out. If it has both, the motor is dead.

2004 honda pilot fan motor. It has 2. One in front and rear. Front one does not work. They said the switch is bad. How do you change it?

Switch normally dont go bad, I would suggest to switch on the blower motor and hit it and see if works, if it does then replace it, in some cases the blower motor resistor is at fault but only low speeds.

The blower for the A/C keeps going out. The first time this happend,, i thought the AC had gone out,, but then a couple days later it started blowing again. Last week, my battery went out and so i...

Hi, an intermittent blower can be caused by either the switch or the motor itself. To find which it is, try messing with the switch to see if it will misbehave. If not, then the next time it doesn't work, try hitting the motor. Unfortunately your blower is behind the glove box, but maybe you can just pull the glove box past its stops and reach back to hit the motor with your fist. It hitting it makes it start, the motor has a dead spot on the commutator and should be replaced. Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

Blower will not blow air from front blower. Changed fuses still will not work. Does this mean blower motor is bad?

No, it's the blower motor resistor

Fits behind the glove box
Two plugs, two screws and you're done!

On my 1994 S-10 Blazer, the heater/a/c fan is intermittent. What is most likely the cause?

Check and make sure you have good connection at blower motor, if you can next time it does that, check with test light if you still have voltage at blower motor, if no voltage, bad connection, if you do have voltage blower motor starting to go out.

Whenever I turn on my air conditioner, my car makes a roaring or rubbing noise. What is it?

Sounds like the clutch in the compressor which would usually be in the front lower portion of the engine on a pulley on the front of engine (passenger side on front wheel drive cars - and tubes are connected to it.  When engine is off spray with some lube but not on belt - allow to drip of for couple minutes.
Try that couple times and start car in between times using the air conditioning.  Not sure if you can replace the clutch unit or have to replace the compressor as a unit which would lose the Freon or R2 or whatever the new stuff is called now...
Hope that helps.

I turn the the fan on for the heating but the fan

Sounds like a seized up (bad bearings) blower motor. It may not pull enough current to blow the fuse at the lower fan settings but does at the high one. Something could also be jamming the blower fan in its air duct.

Most blower motors can be accessed under the hood. Replace the fuse then put the blower switch on one of the lower settings (don't blow the fuse). Get yourself a good sized screwdriver and hit the back of the blower motor with the screwdriver handle a couple of times.

Sometimes (unless the blower motor has totally seized up) you can get it to spin and this will tell you for sure you need a new blower. Other than that, you can get a spare blower motor, remove the connection wires from the old motor and hook them up to the new one to test before you go to the trouble of replacing the blower.

Hope this helps you out... -Dan
