Question about Cars & Trucks
Code p0404 refers to exhaust gas recirculation(EGR)-range/performance problem---Causes hose leak/blockage---wiring---EGR valve/solenoid I would go for the EGR valve /solenoid Replace the faulty units with genuine one because most aftermarket units are not set for OEM cpu units and are not completely compatible.

PO135 is oxygen sensor Bank1 sensor1. PO404 is EGR.
personally, I'd pull EGR off, clean pintle good with throttle body cleaner or carb cleaner, re-install, erase codes & try it for a while & see if it code(s) come back.

SOURCE: Describe your 2006 Chrysler Town
P0404 IS EGR POSITION SENSOR PERFORMANCE..YOU NEED A NEW EGR VALVE..RECOMMEND DISCONNECTING BATTERY WHILE REPLACING EGR VALVE..SOMETIMES CODE WILL NOT GO AWAY EVEN AFTER REPLACING VALVE AND CLEARING CODE WITH SCANNER..VALVE IS LOCATED ABOVE ALTERNATOR ON END OF CYLINDER HEAD..THE BOTTOM BOLT CAN BE TRICKY TO REMOVE AND HAVE HAD TO REMOVE ALTERNATOR TO GET BOLT OUT..YOU WILL NEED A NEW GASKET FOR TUBE AS WELL..ABOUT 120 BUCKS FROM DEALER(CAN)

First question, did you clean the port or passage out or the cyl head where the valve mounts to, when the valve was taken off of the engine? 2nd question, did you replace the Vacuum transducer ( little black round valve, with a vacuum hose fitting) and the valve assy? After these items have been replaced, it usually needs to have the PCM (powertrain control module) reset with a scanner of some type.
