That didn't help any other ideas?

check the firing of the plug leads . Every possibility you have 2 crossed after changing plugs.

Rav4 petrol starts for about 2 seconds then dies this is a r reg motor owner went in big puddle and ever since then had probs starting now wont run for more than 2 secs got a spark got fuel tested in tank...

check the crank sensor plug it might have water in there if the seal has gone. it will make engine run for a few seconds but if it don't register with the ecu properly it will cut engine, same with other senor plugs so check these for water. all you can find oil plug and so on. find the one with water in and clean it out and replace the seal on the plug.

Went through a puddle. Car died. Restarted a day

See these items:-

The starter must have been bad due to the water.

Bad PCM or ignition coil.

Corroded battery cables.

See timing belt.

Hello there:
This could be the result of several things
which could be the following
(1). the fuel filter is clogged and needs to be changed
(2). the fuel pump is starting to fail.
(3) there is a vacume leak somewhere in the system.
(4). the fuel system is dirty and needs to be cleaned
(5). the pvc or ekg valves are clogged or not working properly. and sensors
(6) the vehical is needing a full tune up (plugs and wires and distributer cap and air filter ect ect
along with having the timing reset.
(7). bad fuel or water in the fuel .
these are the most common problems that you will find
ok hope this is very helpful for you

I have a 89 bronco with a 302 in it. I went mudding and it doesnt want to go now. Runs great at idle but if I push the gas pedal it stalls. Even if I press it fast or slow it stall. Any ideas it seems to...

Might sound simple, but did you check to make sure the airfilter isn't clogged? run the car up the street without it, see what happens, another thing to try, replace your fuel filter, it may be dirty and starving the engine. Remember we are here to help as best we can, Good luck

Bronco wont start.

Try hitting the starter with a hammer but not too hard,if it then starts then the brushes in the starter are bad, usually only 2 of the 4 go bad and they dont make contact, the brush kit is only $20.00 and real easy to change,a new rebuilt starter is about $90.00,my starter went out in the middle of winter on my 94 Bronco when i was parked over a water puddle, boy was i wet!..Now for the other persons problem it may be the ignition switch at the base of the column which is about a $10.00 part and 2 screws

1984 bronco 2-runs 15 min shuts down wont start again for 20 runs

If the fuel filter is dirty it will settle when you turn the truck off. When it runs for a few minutes the debris in the filter will get sucked into the screen and stop the fuel from getting through. If it was a starter or coil, it would not start at all.
