If you replaced clutch and pressure plate. Did you reverse bleed the clutch cylinder on the firewall? It has air in the system, that is why it is acting this away.

SOURCE: peugeot 106 1.5D. the clutch was slipping so new

Yes clutch pedal should start to drive about 1inch off the floor and when driving keep your foot away from the pedal,/ also when new clutch is fitted did they fit a complete clutch assy /and did they surface grind the flywheel as if it was badly worn on the 1st one then the new one wouldent last very long.
as when the clutch starts to drive 1" from the floor clutch is good /when it engages right out its buggered and slips so ask about the f/wheel

SOURCE: cant find automatic box dipstick on 1.6 renault

They do not have one as such.

Remove the plastic drip tray from the bottom of the engine and to the right you will see the drain plug.

You will see that around the outide of the plug is another hex head which is the drain plug proper. It is a tube which they have set so when the engine is running and the oil is at the correct temprature excess oil will come out of the hole leaving the fluid at the correct height.

To check the oil in general what you need to warm the engine up till operating temprature then with the car parked level with a container to catch any oil that comes out.

With the engine still running remove the centre plug and if any oil comes out that is excess. If nothing comes out you need to replace the plug, pour in 1/2 a litre and then check it again. If you get some oil to come out that is cool it is excess if not keep addin 1/2 a litre till you do.

The filler plug is the one on the top of the gear box with a square hole in it.

Hope that helps

Regards

Raph

Have a 2008 RENAULT LAGUNA MK3 manual 2 LITRE .On acceleration through the higher gears mainly 4-6 the engine seems to race, Also there is a slight judder on the clutch pedal when moving ,????

Sounds like the clutch is beginning to slip, which would mean the clutch and possibly associated parts need replacement. Some vehicles have an access plate which can be removed to view the thickness of the clutch material. I have used a boroscope on some models, passing it through either the starter port or the clutch fork port.
