Question about 2009 Audi A4 2.0
My Audi has recently started to shake when I turn on the vehicle. It's most noticeable when the RPM is over 1 RPM and when it starts to go below 1 RPM, that is when I feel the shaking when I'm sitting in the car. My dealership tells me that all Audi A4's shake during cold and warm weather, but to me it just recently started happening and it makes no sense to me how weather is a factor in why it could make the car shake. Any thoughts? I think it might have to do with carbon build up or some type of build up.
Could be spark plugs or a bad ignition coil (but the dealership should have checked the coils). I would replace the spark plugs and air filter (just to be safe) and see if the problem goes away. Both are pretty inexpensive and easy to do. Presumabely your dealership checked for fault codes in the engine and didn't find any?

If it had points and carb i could diagnose it but with all this computer control stuff it could be anything from a faulty sensor to a dodgy fuel pump or evan a multiplug loose .i would suggest the dealer to diagnose it sorry i cant be of much help but evan the software is encrypted and the vehicle has to be connected via the internet to stuggart

possibly a resister problem in the management system, this can be adjusted to correct the wrong idle, need to take to someone with the Audi management system software for correct adjustment to be made or replace box £150,, Ray

Are you getting any error codes? Is the check engine light on and/or blinking? The vibrating and other symptoms you described are common from shorted ignition coils. It also sounds like there's a separate issue with power steering - check your fluids, pump, and hoses.
