2004 escalade drivers heated

The drivers side heated seat goes on and then shuts off after a few seconds. If you hit the button again it will go on and then off again.

You should remove the seat and use a milk crate to sit on. It may not be comfortable, but atleast you wont burn your kister.

The most common cause of this problem is that the drivers seat heater grid is open or burned out. That is based on 25 years as a Ford dealer technician.

Heated seats

The body control module in this vehicle sees a short in the seat heater system. These vehiucles are typical of the heater wiring shorting out. When you try to use the bad heater the computer shuts off all the heaters.

You will need to install a new seat heater pad.
