SOURCE: Where is the fuel filter in a Volvo S40 2005

Yes that is correct. The only filter is inside the fuel tank, and as I recall its a non exchangeable filter. It just gets replaced with the fuel pump when it goes bad

SOURCE: I need cam timing settings

The timing marks on the cam gears align with the timing marks in the rear timing cover. The timing mark on the crank gear aligns with the timing mark on the oil pump assembly.
The tensioner is set by rotating the tensioner clockwise until the holes in the tabs on the left side of the tensioner are aligned, then tighten the center bolt.

Volvo s40 clutch

I dont know but I guess its a hydraulic clutch operation and if so your problem is probably the slave cylinda leaking air or also quite probably the master cylinda short of fluid or again leaking air. system needs ot be blead to get it working if it happens again change the cylindas one at a time .

Car stuck in gear.I had to remove cv joint shaft in order to get moving.what could be the problem and what caused this?

Its probably shift linkage between shift handle and transmision get under car and find where the shifter comes through the cars floor and check the rod arms that run between shifter and tranny, if its good then its internal transmision.

My 03'Pontiac Montana quit shifting. The arm moves freely but nothing happens. I was told by a friend that a coupler connected to my shift arm was broken. how do I fix this coupler?

sounds like you need a new shift cable most likely- can you hear like a rachet noise when shifting if not proberly cable you need two people one in car shifting linkage with car off the other looking at trans linkage below brake master cylinder to see if linkage moves if linkage moves you have internal trans problem

Hang up in third gear loss of power

Hi All

I have a s40 1.9d / 2000 plate,
In the last month or so the car loses revs when changing up to 3rd and 4th gear, I can only get 50 mph max in 3rd gear 80mp in 4th.
The car has just clocked 185,000 miles
Its a great car but a pai at the moment, I've had a service including fuel fillter change added fuel cleaners to the deilsel all to no avail

Any suggestions
