How can I make the sound louder for the turn signals on my 2003 Acura?

A good DIYer or auto electrician should be able to find the buzzer and substitute it for a louder one from a parts store or ebay.

No clicking sound from the signal lights on my 09 equinox

So what is the problem? Are your signal lights working?

The "click sound" that could be heard in grandpa's old car came from the bi-metal flasher "can" that was used to turn the indicator lamps on and off. The Chevrolet brand vehicle built in 2009 and named "Equinox" did not use the old-school "can" to control the turn signals. It uses one of those new-fangled things called a computer, which uses solid-state drivers to operate the turn signal bulbs. Therefore the "clicking" that was produced by the bi-metal element inside the can is no longer heard.

However, for those that forget and leave their turn signals on (because they no longer have the "click" to make them pay attention to the turn signal indicators screaming at them from the instument cluster area), there is a message that displays on the Driver's Information Center (another one of them new-fangled computer thingys) that tells the driver that the turn signal has been left on. If the driver is still not paying attention (you know, busy texting, or what-not..), Then the chime module will start sounding off with a "dinging" sound.

For drivers that really get into their phone conversations, texting, music turned up to 10,000 decibles, or simply just gawking at all the ugly cars that they are flying past at mach speed, the vehicle manufacturer has made the volume level of the dingy thing configureable so it can scream at the driver a little louder.

This subject is covered in the 2009 Chevrolet Equinox Owners Manual.
If yours is like the ones most people have, The cobwebs come off pretty easilly with just a dry towel. Look under "turn signals" as well as "Driver's Information Center".

OR...If you want to get completly away from grandpa's old beater, you can go ahead and allow the turnips to grow from the cover of that old-fashioned book thing that is occupying space in your glove box and use your fancy computer thing-a-ma-jig to download a PDF version by using that mousey....whatchamacallit, to click the link below....or the one above! Wow! now THAT is rad!

Where is turn signal clicker located. Can't hear and I'll try to buy a louder unit.

the clicker is a relay, and it's in your fuse box, it's the actual gizmo making it blink. Not sure they have louder ones. the click is just an unintentional feature

Humming sound gets louder the faster i go 05 scion tc

Rather than guess witch one it is( sounds to me to be a wheel bearing or hub bearing) just chg. out both, but if it gets louder when you make a right turn i would say its the left side sense when you make a right turn you are putting more forse and weight on that side.

Directional signals make vitually no audible when clicking

There is a turn signal switch device found under the dash that can sometimes be placed in an area that impedes the sound from reaching the driver. Turn the signal on while parked and in a safe area and listen for the source of the turn signal sound under the dash. Many times they are found along the steering column. Use a long screwdriver touched on the actual assembly and place the handle to your ear to verify that this is the correct assembly. If it is and it's not blocked somehow, check with a parts store for a replacement and tell the you would like one that has a substantially louder indicating sound. They should be able to accommodate and once replaced should resolve this safety issue.
