SOURCE: My 1999 Ford F250 Light Duty Truck has a corroded

the ground cable is just that. as long as it connects from the battery to the engine and another cable from the engine to body or the battery to the body, thats OK.. Now the 2 positive cables goes from battery to the starter solenoid on the fender and another from the battery to the starter itself. there is a red wire (smaller) that goes from the solenoid to the stater .....there is a fusible link at the starter solenoid, make sure that the solenoid has power. if no power ..then the fuse links may be burned out. if you connect battery power to the small terminal on the solenoid the starter should spin the engine over IF all other wires are ok.

What are the fuel injector wire colors for a ford escape 2008 3.0L v6 4wheel drive?


Okay, you know each injector has a power wire, and a ground wire that goes into the pcm? All of the power wires to all six injectors is a green wire with a red stripe.

The ground wire colors are as follows:
inj 1: green wire/blue stripe.
Inj 2: gray wire/yellow stripe
Inj 3: violet wire/gray stripe
Inj 4: yellow wire/orange stripe
Inj 5: brown wire
Inj 6: green wire/white stripe

I should note that the wiring diagram I am looking at shows this diagram as from a 2008 model manufactured during 2nd quarter of the year 2008. If your injector wire colors are different than as listed above, there may have been production changes during the year. But the power wires to all six injectors would still have the same color wire. You could figure it out that way: in other words, looking at the injector harness, same wire color to all six is the power wire, all the odd colors are the ground wire for that injector. Usually red is pos. goes to constant power source. Orange or yellow to keyed power source. Blue is for power ant. and matched wires are your speaker wires. Match these to yours cars wires. Oh black goes to ground.

Check the power feed for the pump at the fuel pump relay. Pull the relay out, and with a test light clipped to a ground, probe all the terminals that the relay plugs in to. One terminal should be hot at all times. If no terminal has power, either a fusible link off the battery has failed or a maxi fuse has blown-check a wiring diagram to see how the relay gets power to it.
If the relay has power to it, check the other relay terminals with the engine cranking. When cranking the engine, two terminals should have power-the fuel pump feed, and the signal from computer to activate the relay. If both signals are present, check the pump wire from relay to tank, check the fuel pump ground, and check if the coil side of relay has a good ground-signal from computer goes to coil input side, the coil output terminal should go to ground.

AC compressor will not energize


First thing you should check is all your grounds, on the body and your battery connections. Also double checked to make sure you have the air conditioning on with the fan on. If this is good the next thing to do is to get a wiring diagram. Verify that there's power going into the switching and coming out of the switch. Next find the compressor relay verify that there's power going two it. If this is good use your tests light to ground out the relay. If this works find out where the ground wire goes to the computer or the wide open relay. Good luck.

first the car has to be running on some vechiles to activate the a/c system remove heater control pannel to test power in to a/c switch and power out of a/c switch (may require wiring diagram). need to test at relay first to make sure its working properley if power is going through relay next test powers and grounds to the high pressure switch and the compressor.

Can't find the correct wire to the a/c compressor in my engine compatment. also can't find any wiring diagrams for that year. I own a 1973 Pontiac fierbird and have the factory a/c but I believe the wires...


I checked some old diagrams for that and though they show just about everything else, the a/c part is vague...If I remember correctly, I believe the compressor gets powered through the heater control switch, to the heater relay, then to a thermal limiter switch (a small black item with two male spade connectors protruding from it.) then that side goes to the clutch terminal. The other clutch terminal is ground. Since a/c was not a "fixed" option back then, likely there is a separate diagram for that option. Hope you find a diagram, but I believe I have it right. or, darn close to it! The only ting I can't remember is where the heater relay draws power from (likely a fusable link connected to the starter battery terminal)

ok there are two wires

the black wire goes to ground.

the dark green/white wire goes to the power steering pressure switch. the other wire on that switch is dark green and it goes to the low pressure cycling switch. the other wire on this switch is light green and it goes to your controll head......... the a/c switch sends battery voltage down this wire, through the low pressure switch, throught the power steering pressure switch and down to the compressor.

I've got them for Six and Four wire plugs

Six wire plugs:

Horse, stock or utility trailers:
White = Ground - GD
Yellow = Left turn/Brake -LT
Green = Right turn Brake -RT
Brown = Tail and clearance lights - TM
Red or Black (not both) = Battery, aux power - A
Blue = Electric Brakes - S

Recreational Vehicle: (color, use, plug mark)
White = Ground - GD
Yellow = Not used -
Brown = Right turn Brake - RT
Green = Tail and clearance lights -TM
Black = Battery, aux power - A
Red = Left turn/Brake - LT
Blue = Electric Brakes - S


Four wire plugs:
White = Ground
Yellow = Left turn/Brake
Green = Right turn Brake
Brown = Tail and clearance lights


Ground should be 10ga.
Others 14 ga
