Cabrio won't re-start - heat problem?

My '99 cabrio runs seemingly OK but after about an hour of driving if i turn off the engine it won't re-start again. have to wait another hour for cool-down and it starts fine. no check engine light, no idiot lights, temperature gauge stabilizes at midpoint. someone told me a thermal switch is sensing high heat somewhere and temporarily disconnects CPU, if this is correct. where is the high heat and how should it be fixed?

My 2004 Honda Pilot ran fine then a hour later won't start. At first thought battery so we charged up usig one of those chargers you plug in. Lights flicker, and clicking sounds but won't turn

Check batry terminals are secure & free from corosion, check security of earth strap to engine & main power wire on starter, if ok have the batry load tested to ensure it can perform under load as the starter needs a lot of current. Have you tried a jump start?

Driving in 105 degree temp, truck quits! What happened?

If the engine won't crank with compression in the cylinders, either the head gasket has blown or something else major has happened.
You will have to get it towed to a shop.
If it cranks normally but won't start, you have to figure out if it is a fuel or ignition problem.
Did the temp gauge show it was overheating before it died ?

Have a '94 S-10 Blazer Tahoe 4X4 and it starts

My suspicion is a starter going bad. Sometimes when starters get old and worn they will start good when the engine is cold but not when the engine is warmed up. Did you perhaps notice that lately is seemed to drag when you tried starting, especially warm or it seemed to crank a little slower? I'd replace the starter. Hope this helps.

Was driving 65 miles an hour small back fire and engine stop running will turn over but won't start.

check for spark at the spark plugs. If ok then check for fuel and if that's ok then you need to check the timing chain.
