Question about 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis
Could be a vac leak, or something going on with the ac compressor.
Or it could be normal.
The computer will turn off the compressor when you push the gas pedal to the floor. Otherwise, the vac control valve circuit for the HVAC could have a leak and not be able to hold the valve open or closed when you open the throttle. The control valve is under the dash.
