tried to start my 2003 santa fe engine will turn over but not start and there is a strong gas smell.

Rear door handle sticks and won't open sometimes.
rear door handle sticks and won't open sometimes. when i do get it open, if i slam it it will open again. After driving for awhile it stops opening again. maybe a spring. the actual lever on the handle sticks and and wont pop out. even if i pop it out it does not open the door.

Common problem folks. You will need a new hatch handle. Corrosion caused the linkages inside the handle to sieze up.
