Have the fault codes read before wasting time and money
guessing what has failed. Replace with genuine items only as aftermarket units are not always compatible with the settings in the CPU. Check that the cat converter is working properly

SOURCE: How to improve the fuel efficiency?

Consider getting this info on ADDING Hydrogen power to your fuel. Raises fuel mileage 25% to 50%+.
http://tinyurl.com/6zmchd

Imagine if it works - raise your fuel mileage to 21+ in stop n go driving, up tp 35+, maybe 40 mpg with a steady low cruise on the highway, at 60-62 mph.

only costs $170-$200 if you can do it yourself, if you can change pcv / oxygen sensors / plugs / fuel filters, YOU can do it.
Else, pay a mechanic an extra $200 for 2 hours work for him/her to install in 45 minutes.

SOURCE: fuel consumption of my mistubishi galant ss 1990

Make sure the air filter is clean, make sure the oxygen sensor is ok but would have to suspect its carboned up due to vehicle age ,if not working properly it tells the engine to run richer than normal. Also make sure the plugs and spark plug leads are in good condition. It wouldnt hurt to put a bottle of injector cleaner in the fuel tank next service as dirty injectors will also add to fuel use.A few small things to do or check but worth it by the sound it.

SOURCE: My 2001 Suzuki XL 7 is consumming excessive fuel 1litre for 4 km

Poor fuel consumption can be caused by a few things. One being the O2 sensor. You should also check your spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter, and try to find out whens the last time the vehicle had a tune up. Check your tires and make sure they are properly inflated as underinflated tires can make the engine work harder and consume more fuel. A little preventive maintanence goes a long way. Check engine light usually means the computer has detected a problem with the emission control for your vehicle. Have that checked ASAP because the longer you drive with the light on the greater the chances of permanent damage to the ECS.

Check cylinder compression.
Any applicable trouble codes?
What about a tune-up?
With any problems after engine over-haul, I always check cylinder compression.

Have high fuel consumption on my fiesta 1.4 fuel injection.11 lt/100km. car runs smooth.

high fuel consumption Petrus, sticking E brake, poor gas, tune up needed, lazy O2 sensor,
leaking injectors, driving habits, etc. all can cause more fuel consumption. Have it scanned to help determine cause.

I have honda CR-V is has very high fuel consumption that average , what can i do?

First question is - is the check engine light on ?
If it is, the trouble codes will direct you where to start looking.
One possible cause is the thermostat is not closing to make the engine warm up.
If the light is not on, the problem is something that is not affecting the emissions of the car.

I cant get my low beam on..my high beam stay on and when switch to low beam,it still high beam please help cause i work the graveyard shift and im sick of tire of getting pull over for something i cant...

Sounds like your switch on the column is broken. It happened to me before. I didn't feel like taking the whole steering column apart so I traced the wires from the headlights and hooked up one of those old floor mount clickers. They still sell new ones at the auto parts store and you can screw them to the floor where you want. You'll need a couple of those clamp on T wire connectors. The hardest part was tracing the wires. And as long as you don't cut the factory wires, your factory high beam indicator should still work.

High fuel consumption

The fuel pressure regulator or the Mass Airflow sensor are common problems with the 240, and will cause these symptoms.
