Wiper motor only wipes in fast mode. Wiper blades got hooked one behind the other with power on for longer than about 30 minites. Could it be the motor or the motor itself or thecontrol switch that is faulty..

SOURCE: Rear wiper motor not working

most likely the wiper motor is bad the second wire sould be a ground if you set meter to ohms you sould be able to get a low resistance to any good ground on the vehicle if the hot wire is hot any time key is on the bcm is controling the ground to operate moter and you should have a steady continuity on the ground side with switch on the fast postion an it will read on and off in the intermitant postion if both wires test good motor is bad when you replace motor let it cycle and shut it off before installing the arm on it

If the same as on a 93 the wiper motor has two connectors.

Connector A (motor):

wiper switch to motor (high) - dark brown / orange
wiper switch to motor (low) - white
ground - black

Connector B (park switch):

wiper switch to motor (park and return) - red
wiper switch to motor (park return) - black
ground - black

Hope this helps.

Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuits ! Using a wiring diagram and a volt meter ? test power to the wiper motor .
Control from the switch .
http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html free wiring diagrams . Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size . Under system click body & accessories , subsystem click wiper / washer . click the search button then the blue link . Look at the diagram for pin # 's an wire colors , see fuse at top of diagram . Check B+ power with volt meter . Check the inputs from the wiper switch to the motor . If all the power an inputs are good , replace the wiper motor .

Wipers only work on fast. Checked the relay and its good, checked the switches and its good. What else needs to be checked?

This is (obviously) a two-speed motor. The low speed winding is burned out. Replace the motor.

My 1993 ford taurus's wipers work part of the time. You can hear the relay click. but when they do work, the motor is fine. delay works and all.

Check if the wiper fuse is loose in the fuse box. Take it out and reinsert it. If it is still loose, take a small short piece of wire and insert it with the fuse to make in tight in its fuse slot.

Wipers do not work. i replaced the wiper switch and checked the fuses ,The red wire to the wiper moter has power ,how do I know if the wiper moter is defective?

there are usually two hot wires going to the wiper motor .. also a ground strap that may be bad ... one of the hot wires is always on if the key is on ... that for homing the wiper blades when you turn them off .. the other power input is from the wiper control circuit .. its only on if the wiper switch is turned on .. if you have power on the homing input then that wont do anything unless the wipers are not in home position .. if you have power to the "run" wire of the motor and the ground is good then the motor should run unless its defective .. you can put a jumper cable from the ground of the wiper motor to the engine block or battery neg, to check if the ground wire is causing the trouble .. that happens frequently in some models but not sure about your E250 ...

2001 dodge caravan, intermittent part of the wipers do not work

As the intermittent wipers are based on resistance, try the easiest fixes first:1. Disconnect the negative terminal on the battery. Pull the relays for the blower motor and both wiper relays and the 30 amp fuse for the wipers. These are located under the hood in the fuse/relay box. The best way is to be careful and use a set of pliers. The reason you pull the blower relay is so that it is easier to pull the intermittent relay. Clean these off the blades of the relay with a burnishing tool (in a pinch you can use your wife's nail polisher that is like very fine sandpaper. Once the are a pretty silver color, wipe them off with some rubbing alcohol. Put them in and pull them out about 5 times into the relay socket and leave them in. Clean the blades for the fuse with a cue tip and rubbing alcohol and then put the fuse in and pull it out about 5 times then leave it in. Hook up the negative terminal and take the key to the on position and turn the wiper to the lowest position. If it works if should take about 36 seconds between strokes. 2. The next easiest is taking the cover off the top of the steering column and pulling off the wiper switch and replacing it. There are three screws that hold the cover and two that hold the switch plus the electrical connector. You can buy a used one at a "junk yard" for about $20. 3. Replace the wiper motor (takes about a couple of hours start to finish). It involves removing the wipers, the cowl (plastic cover over the wiper motor right below the windshield), loosening and lifting the scissor arms for the wiper arms and removing the motor (this involves disconnecting the power connector and feeding it back to the motor).Hopefully your issue is like 95% of the wiper issues and it is just a little bit of corrosion on the wiper relays and fuse!

On a land rover discovery, windscreen wiper motor, there are 5 coloured wires. Can you tell me what each one does, ie. green -- earth brown -- constant + red -- fast blue -- slow black -- intermitant...

Ok, here are the wiring colors and functions/destinations. C0030 is the motor connector for the front windscreen.
C0030-1 - Black, runs to a Earth
C0030-2 - White/Green - Fed from the front wiper relay, via the IDM
C0030-3 - Blue/Green - Flick Wipe/Fast Wipe
C0030-4 - Green/SlateGrey - Power from Aux Relay
C0030-5 - Red/Green - Looks to be a speed control connection.

It's hard to tell to be honest, you'd really need to sit down with RAVE and the electrical circuit diagram and the operation description to make head or tail of it.
