SOURCE: 1997 sonoma turn signal flasher

it is inside, under dash, on left side is a plastic sound protector, mine had 3 screws holding it up, drop this down and straight in you will see a 1" round thing - this is the flasher, pull it out and replace with new one (there are two flat prongs that plug in). It appears this is a well guarded secret!

SOURCE: location of turn signal flasher for 1997 Buick skylark

the flasher is behind the dash where the steering column goes. It's hard to get at and harder to remove. They just can't make these things easy, can they?

SOURCE: 1997 sonoma turn signal flasher

The flashers are located behind the instrument panel trim, roughly between the base of the steering wheel and the ashtray, just to the left of the car lighter. To access the flashers, you need to at least loosen the lower instrument panel trim. Just under the steering column there are two screws with star heads. One to the left of the column and one to the right. You need to remove both of these screws. You will need to remove your ashtray. On the upper left corner of the hole left by removing the ashtray is a 9/32 hex head screw. You need to remove it. Once these three screws are removed you should be able to pull down on this portion of trim under your instrument cluster. When you do this it may cause trim around your instrument cluster to loosen that you can just pop back into place with your hand. You won't need to pull down to far on this trim piece as there are still some screws holding the bottom. You should be able to pull it down far enough to see the flasher units behind and just to the left of the cigarette lighter. There are two flasher units and I found that the one on the right is for the turn signals. On the left the other is for the hazard flashers. It may be a hand scraping experience to replace the flasher but it beats paying someone to do it for you. They are easy to recognize because the are silver and round metallic plug ins. The flasher unit on the left is for the emergency flashers and the one on the right is for turn signals. You can place the emergency flasher unit into the slot the turn signal unit belongs until you get a replacement. These flasher units are pretty cheap.

SOURCE: where is turn signal flasher 93 cadillac sedan deville located?

On the 1993 Sedan de Ville, The hazard flasher is easy to locate, under the dash between the steering column and the radio. Looking up, you will see the smooth round side of the flasher and the wires will be attached to the top.

The turn signal flasher is more difficult to get to, but readily accessed with a T-15 torx driver and a little patience. It is located to the left of the steering column, but is most easily accessed through the dash panel instead of from underneath.

1. remove the T-15 screw from above the headlight switch, above the fuel data center, and above the small panel similar to the one around headlight switch. All of these are somewhat hidden, and you'll need to feel for them or get low and look up at them.

2. Using a bent piece of wire or an allen wrench, or anything else handy, pull off the small trim piece that is directly below the steering column. On my car, this is wood-grained plastic. This will expose two more screws that need to be removed.

3. Now, you should be able to remove the large dash trim panel that goes around the fuel data center.

4. Unscrew the two T-15 screws that hold the fuel data center into the dash, and it should pull straight forward. There should be plenty of wire to move it out of the way.

5. The turn signal flasher is the silver can that you see to the right in the opening you just created by removing the fuel data center module. It has a single plug with two conductors on the back. I had to use a small screwdriver to pry it off.

It is a different part number, so I don't know if you can just swap it for the hazard flasher to test it like you can on many cars. I just replaced mine with a Wagner 323, which is what came out of mine.

1997 ford ranger hazard lights won't turn off

This is either a turn signal flasher failure, located under lower panel on driver's side, or a burnt out turn signal bulb. All easy to fix. There is also a hazard light relay, but try flasher unit relay first.

1990 Ford f250 brake lights and turn signals won't work - checked all fuses, flasher and bulbs and all are good, what could problem be??

Well the brake light and turn signal circuits are on two different fuses, but they both go thru the turn signal switch.
So I would start by checking for power in and out of the turn signal switch for each circuit.

I have a 1997 Ford F-250 heavyduty and the blinkers have stopped flashing. They still light-up but they don't flash.

Verify both front & rear bulbs are lit up, when turn signal switch is on. If so the turn signal flasher needs replacement.

1997 Ford f250 front passenger side turn signal does not work.

Try checking for voltage with the emergency flashers on. If you still don't get anything, locate the wire for that circuit where it comes out the the turn signal switch assembly. If you do not get voltage there the turn signal switch is probably bad. If you do get voltage you have an open in that circuit.
