What is going on? is the alarm siren going and truck will not start? also very important, is this a factory alarm or aftermarket? a good way to tell would be the remote, the remote should be a gm type remote

SOURCE: how do you reset the anti theft system

Try disconnecting your battery cables then wait about 10 minutes. The computer should reset itself. Reconnect the wires to the battery. It is normal for the theft light to blink about every 5 seconds when the ignition key is out or in the off position. This means the system is armed and working properly. Hope this helps. God bless!

I have a 07 chevy tahoe 5.3L now its showing me service anti-theft... i turn my key and nothing happens it just shows service anti-theft..

Anti theft security systems are tricky. Expensive to fix and harder to diagnose. I've had the best luck with just bypassing the entire system and never worrying about it again. There is tons off info and some "do it yourself" solutions on this site http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

it could be the passlock system ( anti theft system ). heres how to find out. all gm vehicles from 97-2005 contain an anti theft system called the passlock. on chevy malibu turn key on, let it stay on for 10 to 15 minutes. then turn ignition off, take out key from ignition, after 1 minute start the car. thats if its whats wrong. if this is your problem you can disable system for good ! go to www.tubesound.com/passlocksystem hope this helps,
