Depending on the make model and year, it could be from a faulty connection, or the pressure may have been higher than the limit of the connections. The high pressure switch should have stopped the compressor before the pressure went over the limit.

Blew an oil line while driving. replaced it, added oil. car started right up prob is auto trans would not engage in any gear. no previous problem. does low oil press affect the trans??

Blew an oil cooler line or a transmission cooler line? Low transmission fluid would keep it from moving. Trying to drive it to long with transmission fluid about empty, would burn up the transmission. Oil pressure won't affect the transmission.

My lower radiator hose blew off, then upper hose blew, then replaced thermostat and hose, then upper hose came off again. 2000 hyundai sonata

If the hoses are coming off, it is due to excess pressure in the system. The radiator cap may be defective not releasing pressure as it should. One of the most common problems for this issue is a bad head gasket allowing exhaust pressure into the cooling system. You may need to have a cylinder head gasket test performed to determine the cause

Melted egr pressure transducer and blowing vaccume lines off

The hot exhaust gas is coming up thru the EGR valve.
It probably needs to be replaced with a new sensor.

Problems with the fuel pressure system on 98 mercury sable

I'm not sure what this guy has done and not saying anything bad about him. I just want to help and explain a litle about your fuel system. As far as the gas lines blowing, You have metal and rubber hoses and am guessing the rubber hoses are the ones that had a problem. The only reason the metal ones would go is rust or something hittting them and knocking a hole in them. Ruber hoses can get rotten and get a leak. Below are some pictures of the underside of the fuel tank and as you can see many of those lines are mounted and if some of those mounts were not disconnected is could have pulled on one of the rubber lines and ripped it. I'm guessing that's what happened and he may have just said they blew. Will get to a blown line in a second. By the way I have been working on cars for over 25 years and have forgotten to disconnect things and ripped lines happens. Now fuel lines "blowing", in my years of working on vehicles I have hardly come across this unless the car sat for a long time and the fuel system was clogged up but even in those cases they were old and rotten. The fuel pump should only constantly run when turning the engine over or while it is running. If the system were that clogged it wouldn't run there for no extra pressure would really build up. When you turn the key to just the on position the fuel relay turns on for a few seconds and then automatically shuts off. Therefore your not just building and building pressure. Now the fuel regulator is done by vacuum. If it were bad you would have less pressure. They do not clog and cause a build up of fuel pressure and if they did, there is a diaphram inside the regulator that would blow and develope a leak (vacuum wise) and again no or little pressure not more. Below is also a picture of the fuel regulator and on top of it you can see where the vacuum line attaches. I hope I was able to help you understand a bit and just didn't confuse you more. I have a 94 chevy c1500 truck. I pushed the clutch the line blew

Was there a problem with the way the clutch peddel pushed before this happend like pushing harder than useual or anything on that order? If not than hook the line back up and bleed it, and try it again and see what happends, your only out a little time and some break fluid. If it did than most likely there is a problem with the clutch, and no i don't think its a common problem, it could be the line just got brittle from age and let go.

I have a 2001 F 350 ford diesel . Started it up ,no brakes, no power stearing. Fluid on the ground, both pneumatic lines to brakes blown off. leaking fluid out of the power stearing line, blew connecting...

the hyrdra boost supplies pressure to these systems, that is done throught the power steering pump, the line or the pump is defective, I would replace both.

Yes the system could have been over filled. Or the pressure switch could have been stuck closed not allowing the compressor to kick off. Unless the AC relay had gotten stuck as well. Your best bet is to take it to a shop and have them check the switch and the system. You may have either blown a seal or a line.

98 jetta with no a/c

Sounds like a line popped. Usually the line above the fans coming from the condenser pops off by the crush fitting. If there's no freon in the system the compressor will not run.
