SOURCE: 1999 GMC Suburban - how to install dr side power window motor/arm

The window should be put in a closed position.
Hidden screws behind buttons of the same color as panel should be opened up using a pick or small screwdiver.
Pry the lower part of the panel away from the door using a paint scraper, The lower half of this panel is usually held in with plastic fastners. When pulled hard enough they will release. These fastners are replacable you can buy them at your local body shop. After releasing all plastic fastners lift door panel off door lock in an upward thrust. Be careful not to pull to far away from door due to wire harnesses and speaker wires ect.. These can be uncliped to remkove whole panel. To operate window you can replug window harness wires in order to bring the window into the proper position to remove bolts that hold it into place. Carefully position glass in upward position and duct tape in place.
The regulator is held in place by three or more bolts.
Remove regulator.
Compare your new part to the existing window regulator.
Installation is reversal of removal.

SOURCE: 2003 Jeep Liberty Limited Glass Latch will not move on own.

Hello and welcome the problem is very simple to resolve first make sure you have battery power turn off vehicle open rear gate unlock doors go to rear gate and look at lock unlock again and push the Grey plastic lock trigger mechanism forward towards front glass close gate unlock again make sure lock is still in the position you just set it to and close glass it will the lock. Normally what happens in this situation was power was removed from your jeep and the rear gate was opened with no power running to electric lock so it stays in a set position you cannot lock the glass because there was no power in the electric lock I will lock once you reset it Hope this help. SOURCE: locks and hatchback

Open the rear inside cover and you will see where the keeper for the handle mechanism may have broken. You can get this from any part store. It is difficult to get in there but a small hand can open it for better access.

SOURCE: Rear Window Glass won't Release

what it seems to me is that your latch is stuck in a locked posiiton. If so, open the hatch itself to expose the screws in the inside panel. Once you have removed the screws the pry the bottom and sieds of the panel away from the body using a panel popper or flat screw driver. Then while applying upwards pressure to the panel from the bottom give the upper part of the panel a quick pop with the heel of your hand.. this should release the panel from the body, this will expose the latch itself. Using 10 millimeter socket, remove the latch from the body thus allowing you to remove it in a safe manner.

Cannot open rear drivers side door from outside or inside. door panel is off, door is closed. child lock is on. tried pulling cable, wont move. tried lifting up the child lock with a thin blade

Sounds like the lock mechanism is stuck on the locked position. Since you didn't specify make and model this is a best guess. Make sure the lock is in the unlock position and try manipulating the rod connected to the outside handle (since child lock is on the inside handle won't work)

How to open toyota corolla door will not unlock

Try lowering the window. The use a wedge between the two door sections to slightly spread them apart enough so\ you can look down inside to try and see if any of the levers are not moving. Also try soaking the entire lock with WD40 from the top it may loosen it enough to open.the lock.

My liftgate wont open all the time sometimes it works but the majority of the time it wont open. Its not unlocking with remote or unlock button inside the car.

Hi
Most likley the lock is sticking, once you get it open get some grease spray or WD40 spray inside the lock mechanism while using the remote to lock and unlock. do this many times as you are spraying the WD40 make sure you really get into the mechanism, you should get a small straw with the WD40 attach this and get inside the lock as much as possible. this is very common and often occurs wheen the weather goes from hot to cold or vice versa.

Also spray the lock hook part, this is the part the mechanism attachs to once shut. if this does not fix the problem the lock hook, may need to be adjusted, they often have 2 screws or bolts you simply half loosen them and re - align them. If you need more info on this please let me know

Sunroof does not close properly.

It may be that the glass needs to be adjusted and not the mechanism. Simply close the sunroof and from inside the car loosen the screws that hold the glass to the mechanism slightly and push up on the glass where it is low and tighten the screws while holding glass in position.(the brackets that the screws go through are slotted for this purpose). Open and close sunroof and check to see if it closes right. It may take a few adjustments to get it right. Hope this helps.

My driver side door wont open how do i get it

sounds like the door lach is sticking
use some wd40 spray the lock and let it sit 4 a while
now since you have the inside skin off reach inside the door with 1 hand and try and open the door from the outside and see if the lock bar moves it usualy pushes down i think on a lach
if it goes up and down with no resistance make sure it is contacting the lach if yes make sure the door is unlocked
somtimes the lock is just stuck
after unlock open the door
push down on lock bar attached to lock then pull up on it if that fails to open door
after that all fails unlock door have friend pull handle and then give the door a good kick from inside just remember not the kick the glass

Rear door wont lock or unlock with power

This can be caused by the actuators in the lock mechanism failing usually causing the door to remain locked. The boor door can also fail this way, though sometimes the catch sticks (pry off the LR badge, squirt with WD40 and work it a few times to fix that). Replacement requires the whole lock unit to be replaced at a cost of roughly £60 a lock, and a hours work. Helps if you have small hands. It does require a complete strip down of the door, and will need the lock unit, trim panel clips, and a trim removal tool. Clips are a few quid, the tool's usually around a tenner.
For the rear door, this is slightly easier due to the lack of moveable glass, so you just need to get the rear panel off including sub and open it.
Try clicking unlock on your fob while pulling the latch inside. This may pop it open at the crucial point. If you put the child lock on, you're stuffed! I saw one at a breakers yard where they had to use a disc cutter to get the door open.

Central locking keeps locking the car. Unable to open drivers side door

Hello, we have a 2003 Kia Rio- problem as above- unlocking and then locking- only way in and out through passenger door.
This is what I have done and everything is back to normal- I hope it works for you.
1 Remove 25AMP fuse that controls door central locking from main box under the bonnet.
(AT this stage my passenger door opens- drivers side does not, the mechanism won't fully rotate)
2, Spray key with WD40 (or similar moisture repellent lubricant). Gently turn key to loosen mechanism- Partly remove key and spray lubricant into lock, have fun locking and unlocking!
3, Replace 25 amp fuse
4, Write yourself a cheque for garage labour and parts and wife brownie points!
