Question about Mazda Protege
2001 Mazda Protege. Has been idling very low when stopped at lights or stop sign, almost to the point of stalling but has not actually stalled yet. Acceleration at stops is hesitant at first, but then is fine with more speed.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

It's the lean burn system that's probably the problem. If you replace the Engine control module/computer then it should solve your problem at least temporarily. I know there is a conversion to get away from the lean burn system for good, but I have not tried that out myself yet. But my engine control module seems to go out during extreme weather.
