2007 dodge caliber. started jerking especially going uphill. service engine light stays on although no codes show up. any clues?

read the fault codes to determine what put the engine light on
regardless there will be codes and it just takes an experienced technician with the right connections to read them
next check the cat converter as it may be failed and blocking the exhaust system

I have a dodge 2005 when I slow down or aply brakes car jerks My dad says it might be the caliber is loose what you think

Caliper loose would mean you have alot of noise and also your would notice HEAVY vibration along with extreme pulling. Seems more like the caliper may just be locking up and needs to be rebuilt or replaced. Calipers should never come loose unless the brakes where replaced and nobody tighten the safety pins correctly
