SOURCE: no oil pressure

The oil pressure switch (also known as the oil press. sending unit) is located above the oil filter, mounted on the engine block. It is a $6 part in my area, just by chance if that's all that's wrong, I'd replace it. Hopefully it is that simple. If not, time for an oil pump? If u remove it, and crank the engine, there should be a steady flow of oil, if not then it's the pump. Good luck.

oil pressure sender is located at the rear of engine, bank 1, if you are at top of engine you may access it a little bit right away from center rear side of engine, keep the engine cold if you want to remove it or replace, you need socket #27 when removing and rachet, or the special tool by gm J41712,

What is righ amount of oil i must put in the gearbox

if auto - the level on the dip stick
if manual remove the filler plug in the side of the box and the right amount is when the oil runs out of that fill hole
the oil level is at the thread s of the hole
if there are 2 plugs in the side of the box , remove both and put oil in the upper one until it runs out of the bottom hole replace plugs and do up tight.
point of interest
all manual boxes, transfer cases and diff oil levels are to the bottom of the fill hole thread.

What diff oil for a 3.0L mitsubishi colt 4x4 1999

Hi Shy Guy, The oil to use in a 4 X 4 differential should be a good quality EP 90, (Extreme Pressure), either synthetic or mineral. The same can be used in the gearbox, but you may find a slight beneficial fuel saving by using 70 w 85 gear oil in the gearbox. Regards John
