You order them to the vehicle, not by size. The three belts are here with the OEM Parts numbers. Parts suppliers have a book with all the makes, models and years, and that book tells them the length, width and form, (ribbed or plain).

remove belt does the rear drum turn freely does the motor turn freely, does the front drum turn freely. If the do does the side sanding disc turn freely. There really is not a lot of parts to affect the operation. Try moving tool to another outlet that is not being used . this tool is old and there are no repair parts available.

Is the broken cog on the motor or the drive wheel? if it's on the motor you might be able to source a replacement motor online.
It all depends on what the sander was worth to buy new and how old it is. Generally cheaper budget sanders are designed as a "Throw Away" tool where you can't get spares. Normally it's the top end 'expensive' sanders you can get the spare parts for. As this is the car and truck section of the website my advice is very basic.

Certainly knock it out and reuse it. Half inch is an uncommon size for modern sawbenches but used to be very common in the days when most diy saws were home constructed.
In case of difficulty it might be possible to use a modified 12mm washer that would just need about 0.3 mm easing from the internal diameter to produce the exact fit to the spindle.

Once an exact internal fit is obtained a half inch bolt and nut could be used as a mandril so it could be spun in a power drill to have the outside diameter sized with a file, belt sander or grinder...

go to any auto parts stores they can look up info in parts reference in computer and find your drive belt belts size.all you need to know is your engine size and if your engine has airconditioner or non airconditioners which drive belt will be shorter.

you could try and measure around all the pulys and figure out what size belt is needed or try calling a ford dealer or some local auto parts store, they might be able to pull up a belt size/part number for a engien that is not running a a/c compressor.

I checked Searspartsdirect.com for that model number and they listed that number, but with an extra 0 at the right end. I couldn't find a belt release lever illustrated anywhere like that on my old Craftsman belt sander. On mine, you just flipped the lever either forward or back to release and tighten the belt. (still works great) There is a spring that pushes the front roller assembly forward when the lever is operated.
