Question about 1996 Ford Mustang
So yesterday i was driving my mustang and she started to get hot soi pulled over and checked the fuilds i put in more antifreeze and oil let it cooled down for a little bit it got me about 10mins up the road when i came to a stop at a re light it died i got it to start and let it cool down at a friends for 2hrs last night and barley got it home last night without almost over heating it has been in my drive way all day im to afraid to take it out at all whats wrong with y car plz help he
Sounds like a head and or head gasket problem when u overheat u can damage warp head or blow head gasket look at oil if milky look possible getting/having antifreeze leak into oil or if white smoke coming from rear exhaust sign of antifreeze getting into cylinder

the only way to actually check that torque conv. is to take it out... i have seen a bunch that have stripped out splines inside the converter, or a broken pump shaft... if the fluid is not OVERfull on the dipstick i would say its probably the converter. hope this helps and good luck
