Breaking causes Dash Board lights to light up

Pressing the breaks causes Dash Board lights (Back lit Radio, Dash console) to light up when the headlights are not on. When I turn on my head lights, it seems my break lights are on constantly, although you can see a visible change, brightness change when headlights are on and break is pressed. I have checked the fuses, no change, and looked briefly at the wiring. No resolution.

SOURCE: rear window break light

You either have a 'single filament' bulb installed in a 'dual filament' brake lamp socket ... OR .. you have a 'dual filament' bulb short circuited internally. Check your rear brake lamp bulbs (supposed to be 'dual filament' - two contacts on their bottoms). When you step on the brake pedal, do your dash lights LIGHT UP? A 'cross circuit' exists between brake lamp circuit and parking lamps circuit.

SOURCE: no low beams bulbs are ok fuses look good

There may be a relay that operates the low beam lights, check the owners manual to see if there is a relay, you should be able to hear it go "click" if there is one.

SOURCE: Break lights stopped working in

This YM (Year Model) is probably still under warranty. Make the phone call to your nearest Hyundai Service Department & ask the question -- you could get it diagnosed & repaired at no cost. BTW, the switch is located under the dash at the articulating arm of the brake pedal.

SOURCE: left headlight, dash lights, and both tail lights do no illuminate. brake lights and high beams work fine. what would cause this to happen, fuses are good.

Most certainly a wiring fault, you need a wiring diagram, these items are related as in all on same circuit. Check rear of fuse box.

Where is the break warning light on the dashboard of a 2004 330 ci

The pulse you feel is caused by warpage in the front disk brake rotors. Slight warpage is not an issue. If it gets worse, you can have the rotors machined back to flat. Warpage will not illuminate the brake light. You should see the brake light when the parking brake is engaged.

On the instrument custer the back lit light on the temp gauge was out so I took my 2002 Vue to a Chevolet dealer who has taken over the service of Saturns. They fixed the light for the temp gauge, but now...

The only thing to do is remove the cluster from the dash and replace the bulb! It isn't real complicated to do it just takes a little time and patience. Once it is removed you'll have to locate the correct bulb it will be labeled on the circuit board as to which one it is. Carefully remove the bulb and replace it with EXACT bulb replacement and re-install the dash. Again the key to doing this is PATIENCE as these can be frustrating locating ALL the retaining screws before forcefully prying on something and breaking it. Good luck, HAVE A SAFE AND PRODUCTIVE DAY!

Could be the motor-management-warning light, but I guess it's the break-warning light. There might be too little breaking-fluid left in the lines ... A boardcomputer-readout should clarify this.

Otherwise, try parking on an ascending road with the nose pointing up, hit the hand-break and wait like 2 minutes; the light should come on. You might wanna retry it with the car's nose pointing downwards as well ... If so, definitely the breaking-fluid, otherwise probably not ;)

In any case - flashing warning light are never ok, so when you see it again and you're sure it's not just the ABS/ESP warning light, go and have your boardcomputer read-out, since it should contain useful errorcodes ..
