I have a 99 mazda truck with the 2.3 change timing belt and will not start. All timing marks are inline. Is it possible to be 180 degrees off on the cam?? please help

I am showing a 2.5 engine in a Mazda truck, but its generally the same as a 2.3.
Its not supposed to be an interference engine, so no damage should have occured when the belt broke. Its possible the cam gear is 180 degrees off, but if the marks are lined up by the book it should be correct. Its very possible the marks are a few teeth off since the cam gear can move when the tensioner is released.
Checking compression on all 4 cylinders will tell you if the valves are in the right place.

Transmission won't pull in forward gears. Reverse

The easiest way to fix this is to remove the driver's seat and rotate it 180 degrees. You'll have to install wipers on the rear window though.

How tight do lifters need to be in a 1988 honda dx

.008" intake, .010"exhaust, turn engine to tdc #1 compression, adjust #1 cyl rocker arms, turn crankshaft 180 degrees and adjust #3 cyl rocker arms, rotate another 180 degrees & adjust #4, than another 180 to adjust #2.

How can I access the battery in a 1993 Mazda E2000?

The battery is under the drivers seat. Move the entire seat forward but sliding the leaver at the front bottom of the seat (as you would to adjust the seat) and push the whole seat as forward as you can and then wind the actual seat back forward (dial on the door side of the seat back). Pull up the plastic trim and unscrew the metal capping. Under there you will find the battery and also, what I think is, the overflow container for the radiator.

2008 Mazda Cx 7 Grand Tour: Tires rotated, basic 4 wheel allignment, car still pulled to right. 2nd visit 4 wheel allignment they reversed the strut mount to enhance adjustment, still pulls to the right....

I have a 2007 CX-7 and my vehicle did the same thing. There is a Technical Service Bulletin on the the problem that explains how to correct the pull. It basically states that the technician has to rotate the position of the strut mount on the left side 180 degrees to the right which should lower the left side caster angle. Any good alignment shop will know that the right side caster angle should be .5 degrees higher on the right to compensate for the crown of the roadway. For example my readings were 3.2 on the left and 2.8 on the right. This is reversed and is why my car pulled to the right. After the strut mount was rotated my reading were 2.4 on the left and 2.8 on the right. That all but eliminated the pull. Verify your caster readings on the alignment printout. If this was already done then there isnt much more that can be corrected. Mine still has a slight drift to the right.

Valve timing

hi there,

you have a crank sensor as well, it reads from a plate that's bolted to you crank
shaft. Now if that plate is the wrong way around the sensor is not picking up movement from the crank, it could also be that the sensor aren't close enough
to take a reading... Do not put to close as the plate will damage it... you will see the plate has 3 points on it.... this happened to me and my car stood for two days!!!
