Your wheel cylinder is leaking,is hydraulic fluid on your brake shoes,it will cause your shoes to get hot and crack.When replacing,do both sides with new brake shoes.

Coolant in oil what do I do


Generally speaking, coolant leaking into the oil pan is because of a head gasket or crack in a cylinder head or block. It could also be leaking from the timing cover.
You may have to take the engine apart to find the source.

Nobody is going to give you an exact wire trace here, I can bet my bottom dollar on it. You will need to painstakingly trace your wiring from the wiper switch on the steering column to the relay and then to the fuse box, then to the wiper motor to discover your fault.

My Dodge Stratus 2005 is leaking coolant. No trace to be found. I discovered last week that the whole coolant reservoir was empty. Yet the car's temperature was at normal level. There are no trace


Look in the radiator in the morning when car is cold take off the cap if it is full then look at the reservoir and make sure you see to lines on it one you fill to when cols the other you fill to when how it will say hot and cold fill lines fill yo cold when it is cold then next day check and see when cold if it is at the same mark

take the drums off the back axle, take the cable out of the holder and that will give you enough slack to rejoin the cables

I have a jaguar s type 2003 model 2.5ltre which constantly keeps sounding when at rest like a kettle boiling water. i have had it serviced by a jaguar main dealer 6months ago and had to return it back on 6...


Valve covers (or Rocker covers) are notorious for oil leaks on many types of cars. (Dont know yours) BUT If it is hot enough to boil oil, you have a serious FIRE Hazard ! That could easily burst into flame any time.

Are you sure its not water seeping out of the head gasket? That would readily sizzle on the heat shield and constantly sound like boiling water. Makes more sense to me.

What type of Jag dealer would miss this? Six times ! I would try a reputable local mechanic.

Leaking engine oil, but the mechanic could not see where for sure... any suggestions?


Go to Autozone and get the Trace Dye,have engine top and bottom steamed cleaned. Put Trace Dye in and use the recommended light to expose the leak.
Either report to be on its location take a photo of it and send it to me or take it back to repair station, he'll see it now.

Oil was disappearing out of the engine for the longest time. Mechanic couldn't find it so we just added oil from time to time. Now its got a major leak. We have a pan underneath its gotten so bad and...


next oil change or even now get a small bottle of engine oil trace dye and a Ultrviolet light. Add the trace dye to the engine and then after a cple days use the UV light and see where the leak is. The trace dye will be a bright blue or green, depending on the maker of the dye, "glowing" line/path. Follow it back to the source. Chances are it will be one if not a combination of 3 things: Valve cover gaskets, Oil pan gasket, Or one of the 2 main oil seals. Of the oil seal the rear main oil seal is a common culprit.

Your problem is probably not the valve body as I have already purchased one and still had the same problem. The problem is your drum nut has backed off slightly. This allows the drum to move back and forth. Since reverse takes the most pressure to operate it is what goes out. The solution is not that hard. First drain your fluid. Drain plug is underneath just like draining your oil. I would recommend changing it and the filter. Pull the side cover plate off. To do this you have to pull a plastic cover off the driverside inside the fender well. As you take the cover off you will discover there are 2 metal tubes attached to the cover try to not bend these. You will see the drum and the nut. There will be a little end play in the drum. Either use an impact to tighten or stick a small phillips screwdriver in one of the holes in the side of the drum to hold and tighten the nut. THIS TOOK CARE OF MY PROBLEM. I ve talked to several people that lost reverse and paid over 1000 dollars to have their transmission rebuilt. I wonder if the shop did anything more than what I just told you. thilty1
