There is a regulator on the fuel rail, but no sensor.
Have you checked base fuel pressure with a gauge ?

Start with checking fuel pressure with a pressure gauge. Some stores rent or loan fuel pressure gauges. If fuel pressure is within specs for your engine, scan the computer for possible trouble codes.
Fuel pressure is critical (and high on multi port injection-about 50 psi) and dependent on a good pump, a clean filter, and a working fuel pressure regulator-if pressure is correct, you have eliminated at least that much as not being the problem.

have exhaust back pressure tested. maybe the catalytic converter is restricted/ almost plugged. Also check your vacuum hoses for leaks.

CAR WONT START

If the car fired after pouring gas into the engine, then you should check your fuel pump, listen when you turn on the key, if you hear the fuel pump start and stop, then check your fuel pressure, all fuel injected vehicles have fuel pressure regulators, if your fuel pump isnt pushing enough pressure to the regulator the car will not start, and if it does start it wont operate properly, and may even leave you stranded.. If your fuel pressure is low, check the fuel filter, dirty filters restrict pressure, and are ALOT cheeper to replace than a fuel pump!

Car stalling

this could be many things, you could have dirty fuel injectors, in which you just buy some fuel injecter cleaner. Or it could be something like an o2 sensor, because o2 sensors "read" the exhaust coming out of your car and adjust fuel/air mixture as necessary. If its bad then it will send mixed signals, making the car sputter and hesitate when you push the gas. But my guess would be dirty fuel injectors.
Good luck with your car.
